About Us
TAI Kenya is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Maua, Meru County. Since our founding in 2000, we have worked alongside local communities to improve lives through grassroots-driven programs in women and youth empowerment, health, environmental conservation, and access to clean water and sanitation. Our approach is participatory and inclusive, ensuring that the people we serve are actively involved in identifying challenges and creating lasting solutions.
We believe that sustainable development starts at the community level. By equipping individuals with skills, knowledge, and opportunities, we help them take control of their futures and uplift others around them. Through partnerships, training, and advocacy, TAI Kenya continues to impact lives across Igembe and surrounding regions—one family, one village at a time.
What We Do

Women and Youth Empowerment
We provide vocational training, mentorship, and small business support to help women and youth gain skills, generate income, and lead self-reliant lives.
Community Health Outreach
We improve access to health services through medical camps, hygiene education, and awareness on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and disease prevention.
Environment, Water, and Sanitation
We promote environmental conservation through tree planting, water harvesting, and sanitation projects that improve health and protect natural resources.
Our Impact
Over the years, TAI Kenya has reached thousands of community members across Meru County through our grassroots programs. We’ve trained women and youth in life-changing skills, provided healthcare access to underserved families, planted trees to restore the environment, and improved sanitation in schools and villages. Rooted in the Community
